COUNTRY WALKS

Autumn colour walks

by Webmaster, 23rd October 2018

With leaves in rich gold and deep crimson, our native trees look spectacular right now, so head out on one of these autumn ambles and catch the display while you can

Before the onset of winter, Mother Nature likes to give us one more burst of colour – and what a spectacle it is!

You won’t have to go far to find autumn colour here in the Welsh Borders. Even in the towns, a short stroll should reward you with a blaze of yellow, gold, orange and red. But there are some places where the colours are particularly striking…

ROUTE 1 — Follow a waterway trail up a wooded gorge in Denbighshire

ROUTE 2 — Take in mixed forest, ancient trees and scenic views over Shropshire

ROUTE 3 — There are few better ways to enjoy the River Wye than from high above in autumn
