If you have a piece of artwork you're proud of, you could be part of an exciting new gallery exhibition on the Welsh coast

Budding Welsh artists are in luck, because Caernarfon art gallery Life: Full Colour are inviting local artists to submit their work and take part in their 2021 open show, Hiraeth.

The show is named after the Welsh concept of a deep longing for something, particularly one’s home, and work submitted should convey this feeling in some manner. The art can be anything from painting and sculpture to digital media and installation, opening the show up to many of Wales’ talented creators, and no doubt resulting in a wide ranging final exhibition.

There’s no entry fee, and up to 55 pieces of art will be selected to be part of the show, and available for sale. Hiraeth will run from 6th November to 24th December and submissions need to be in by 1st October. The work will be judged by gallery owner Sara McKee and Life: Full Colour featured artists, if you’d like to apply simply send a photo of your work along with a short biography and a description of the piece.

If you can’t wait until Hiraeth kicks off in November, why not go along to the gallery’s International Sculpture Show from the 1st to the 31st October?

Life: Full Colour Gallery, 23-25 Hole In The Wall Street, Caernarfon LL55 1RF. Tel: 01286 674719.
