RSPB warning after increase in bird attacks

by Webmaster, 18th June 2019

Birds being killed because of perceived threat, says the charity

The likes of ravens, carrion crows, and even buzzards, red kites and peregrine falcons have all been targets over the past couple of years as the RSPB reports an increase in the number of birds illegally slaughtered.

The charity says there were three such deaths in 2017, but this number rose to 11 last year, and they want to reverse the trend.

They believe the threat these birds pose to game stocks is the main reason for the killings.
