'Time to fight back,' says Iolo

by Webmaster, 1st November 2019

TV presenter and Welsh Border Life columnist is urging people to get planting

Popular naturalist Iolo Williams says people need to act now to tackle the climate crisis.

He's pledging his support for charity The Woodland Trust's Big Climate Fightback campaign, which aims to get more than a million people to pledge to plant a tree by the 30th November, when there'll be a mass planting day.

“We’re facing a climate crisis and we need to act urgently to tackle it," explains Iolo, who writes a monthly column in Welsh Border Life magazine. "One thing we need to do is to plant more trees to soak up carbon from the atmosphere."

The Woodland Trust will host planting days across the country on the 30th November. For more details, or to get involved and to pledge to plant a tree visit: www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/bigclimatefightback
