Oriel Rhosyn has opened its doors in the Swansea Valley town of Ystradgynlais
Stepping through the front door of recently-opened Oriel Rhosyn in Ystradgynlais, north of Swansea, has been likened to wandering through the wardrobe into Narnia.
Soon, it opens out into two magical rooms full of handmade crafts, such as textiles, jewellery, glassware, ceramics and fragrant soaps.
Then, head upstairs to see the gallery, where the front two rooms are brimming with paintings, photography, ceramics, sculptures and more glassware. Some artists, such as Nick Holly, known as the Welsh Lowry, has created work specifically for the gallery.
In a further room upstairs, amateur art groups from the area are encouraged to display their work as part of Oriel Rhosyn's attempt to develop local art.
