The final stage of The Heart of Wales Line Trail links ever-changing countryside with a scenic railway
It's been several years in the making, but now a 141-mile trail has been created from Shropshire right through to the Carmarthenshire coast, loosely following one of the country's most scenic railway lines.
The Heart of Wales Line Trail connects to all 29 stations on this beautiful journey through these constantly changing rural landscapes, allowing walkers to incorporate the train into their journey.
The walk in its entirety starts at Craven Arms in the Shropshire Hills and ends in Llanelli, passing the likes of Knighton, Llandrindod Wells and Llandovery en-route – though many might choose to walk small sections of it, returning to the start of their walk by train.
