Save your local

Worried about the future of your local pub? You can help it survive the pandemic by getting a round in now and enjoying it later

After Boris Johnson announced all pubs and bars had to close for the duration of the lockdown, many landlords are struggling financially. As many as one in five establishments could go bust if the lockdown continues for many more weeks. But help is at hand.

Save Pub Life is a great new initiative to aid our locals by encouraging punters to get a round in now and enjoying it when the lockdown is lifted.

Customers can buy a £20 gift card, and multinational beer maker Budweiser have pledged to match the value of the cards up to a combined total of £1 million. This will go directly to the businesses when they need it the most. There will be a unique six-digit code on the gift card, which the pub can use to redeem its value.

The programme is open to pubs, bars and locals across the country.
