A message from our friends at Continental Fireplaces...
After over 25 years trading from our Church Stretton base, Continental Fireplaces are pleased to have been appointed an official stockist and retailer of the iconic range of Jøtul cast-iron gas and woodstoves, made in Norway since 1853.
Continental’s reputation as the region’s specialist contractors for chimney works and appliance installation will now be enhanced in our showroom with the addition of 6 distinctive Jøtul products of widely different designs.
With well over 3 dozen live operating heating appliances and cooking ranges to see in addition to a vast number of non-working displays, a showroom visit is a must before making any major investment decision for your home.
Jøtul’s timeless products bridge the past and present whilst integrating with the architectural qualities of modern or period living spaces.
The artisan Norwegian craftsmanship and functional design provide both immediate appeal and design qualities that stand apart from short-lived trends.
While beauty is in the eye of the beholder, good design is definitely more than meets the eye. At Jøtul, it’s strongly believed that form should follow function. Every stove is made from cast iron in Norway using only the best available materials, based on the unyielding test of time. Cast iron parts are extremely durable, yet simple to replace and will not deform, even after many years of use.
All stoves and fireplaces equally feature not only fine craftsmanship and tradition but modern combustion technology for a better environment. Clean burning stoves require less wood than ‘old’ non-clean burning stoves to produce the same amount of heat, so if you burn the right wood fuel and burn correctly this can mean a reduction of wood consumption of up to 40 percent – saving fuel costs and saving the environment.
All Jøtul and most other woodstoves on display in Church Stretton are ECO 2022 compliant and demonstrate the very highest standards of woodburning efficiency.
Innovation is also important to Jøtul; they were the first manufacturer in the stoves market over 50 years ago to use porcelain enamel to produce a durable surface which is not only the best maintenance-free finish but also the most beautiful. An enamel finish to your stove highlights the contrast between a textured and smooth surface and will add another interior design element to your stove.
The Jøtul Group is a leading worldwide brand and a global market leader sold in 43 countries on six continents. The extensive and varied product portfolio delivers on all dimensions; whether it is the crackling sound of fire, the view of a perfect flame, the optimised burning for efficient and sustainable use, or the timeless design styling there is bound to be a stove to suit your home.
