Ty Canol Caravan Park is a great base for exploring the beautiful Vale of Llangollen this spring

Self-catering accommodation has never been so popular, as families and groups of friends crave getting away from their familiar four walls for a short while. And a static caravan is a great option, as it offers a completely different experience from a conventional home.

Ty Canol, just outside Llangollen in North Wales, has fully furnished static caravans available from the 12th April. Each caravan sleeps up to six people with one double room, one twin room and a double sofa bed in the living area. Situated in a peaceful spot, each one has an outdoor sitting area with a table and parasol and the whole site is pet-friendly, so guests are welcome to bring their dogs.

Visitors will never be bored here either as there's lots to do, including stunning walks and trails, such as Offa's Dyke, as well as a beautiful path leading up to the historic Dinas Bran Castle. Other activities include rafting, kayaking and canoeing in some of the country's best white water and there are many challenging mountain biking trails. Visitors can also take horse-drawn boat trips along the Llangollen canal or enjoy a journey on a steam train with the Llangollen Railway.

To find about availability and prices at Ty Canol call: 01978869082 or email: info@tycanolcaravanpark.com  As well as short-term holiday lets, Ty Canol offers caravans and lodges for sale as permanent boltholes too. www.tycanolcaravanpark.com
