The idea of no neighbours, far-reaching views and peace and quiet is something many of us are dreaming about after a year confined to our own four walls
Tal-y-Gaer, a traditional whitewashed cottage, near Porthgain in Pembrokeshire, overlooks the Irish sea towards Strumble Head and shelters at the foot of Garn Fawr, a rocky volcanic outcrop.
Thoughtfully renovated and retaining many interesting architectural features, the cottage has a private garden with stone patio, deck-style seating area and BBQ. The master bedroom offers sea and hill views, a kingsize iron bedstead, TV, double wardrobe and antique furniture and there's also another twin room and a day-bed on the landing for occasional use.
The property is surrounded by footpaths with easy access to the coastal path and the many coves and bays of the north Pembrokeshire Coast. Porthgain (pictured), Fishguard, St David's and Newport are all within easy driving distance.
Tal-y-Gaer is priced at £600 for one week in April. For more information, visit: www.stbridesbaycottages.com
