Many of us have embraced beautiful Wales this summer, but where is the most popular Welsh holiday destination?

Most of us decided heading off abroad would be either impossible or just too much hassle this year, so as a nation we’ve explored and fallen in love with our homeland. Hotels have been bursting with British guests and we’ve all had a ball thanks to an army of hard working hoteliers and hospitality staff.

And here in Wales, Pembrokeshire has proven to be the most popular destination, according to a new study by gambling.com which researched where British holidaymakers have been spending most of their hard earned cash.

After Pembrokeshire, amazing Anglesey, with it’s bright beachside towns, like Beaumaris and Trearddur Bay comes next, followed by Gwyedd, which is the home of Snowdonia and then we are back in south Wales again in the Vale of Glamorgan. Here is the full top 10:

1 Pembrokeshire

2 Isle of Anglesey

3 Gwynedd

4 Vale of Glamorgan

5 Ceredigion

6 Conwy

7 Powys

8 Denbighshire

9 Caerphilly

10 Bridgend

So next time you book a luxury five star hotel, cosy bed and breakfast, boutique restaurant with rooms or a country pub, explore these counties of Wales for the perfect holiday.
