History beckons for our latest competition winner

The spring 2022 issue of Welsh Border Life saw us offering the chance to win a stay at one of Montgomeryshire's most historic coaching inns, and now it's time to declare a winner.

As a quick reminder, one lucky reader was set to win dinner, bed and breakfast for two - plus a bottle of house wine - at The Dragon Hotel in the heart of the border town of Montgomery. All-in the prize was worth £200, and we asked the following:

In which year was The Dragon Hotel built as a coaching inn:

A) 1630  B) 1730  C) 1830

The incredible answer was, 1630.

With over a thousand entries, competition was as fierce as ever. But we can now reveal that the winner is...

Anne Poole, from Hook-a-Gate near Shrewsbury

Congratulations Anne. We'll be in touch with you shortly to confirm your prize.

In the meantime, look our for more great competitions appearing in our magazines very soon. Publication dates are announced via our free email newsletter. Be sure to receive it by clicking here...
