History beckons for our latest competition winner

The spring 2022 issue of Welsh Border Life saw us offering the chance to win a stay at one of Montgomeryshire's most historic coaching inns, and now it's time to declare a winner.  

As a quick reminder, one lucky reader was set to win dinner, bed and breakfast for two - plus a bottle of house wine - at The Dragon Hotel in the heart of the border town of Montgomery. All-in the prize was worth £200, and we asked the following:

In which year was The Dragon Hotel built as a coaching inn:

The incredible answer was, 1630.
