The Mulberry Inn

Did you scoop a win with an inn

by Webmaster

This classic country inn in north-east Wales' Ceiriog Valley featured as a prize in the summer issue of Welsh Border Life. Did you scoop a win with an inn?

The summer 2022 issue of Welsh Border Life featured a chance to win a Sunday best stay in a classic country inn. Could the winner have been you?

The Muberry Inn, in the delicious Ceiriog Valley near Llangollen in North Wales, is renowned for its tranquil location, heavenly surrounding countryside and excellent walking. Not to mention great food. So it was particularly exciting that one lucky winner was set to win Sunday roast, bed and breakfast for two, plus a late Monday checkout. Now it's time to declare the winner.

As a quick reminder, we posed the following question:

What is the name of The Mulberry Inn's bar?

A) Partridge Bar  B) Pigeon Bar  C) Pheasant Bar

As the picture above reveals, the answer was, the Pheasant Bar.

As is the norm, competition was fierce. But we can now reveal that the winner is...

David Jones, from Rhydargaeau in Carmarthenshire.

Congratulations David. We'll be in touch with you shortly to confirm your prize.

Not a winner this time? You can still enjoy all the peace, tranquility, walking and fine food The Mulberry Inn has to offer. Just visit their website at
