One of Pembrokeshire's top attractions is up and running again
The Gardens at Picton Castle & Gardens in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park have now reopened.
The Castle has had to remain closed until further notice. However The Welsh Owl Garden, Maria’s fabulous Restaurant, and The Mansion of Mystery, along with the 40 acres of beautiful woodland gardens will be open daily for everyone to enjoy with just a few procedures in place to ensure not only the health and safety of both visitors and staff, but their enjoyment too.
The Welsh Owl Garden will be operating a one-way system, which all visitors to the gardens can access free of charge.
Picton Castle Restaurant will be operating a takeaway service – orders can be placed at the restaurant door and the tables in the courtyard will be spaced out accordingly.
Visitor toilets will be open as normal and will be cleaned twice daily. All that is asked of visitors is that social distancing is observed whilst using these facilities.
The Gift Shop and Galleries will also be open – there's a one-way system in operation and the amount of people in the shop will be limited at any one time.
Picton's plant sales will also be back, and once again these will be spaced out in the courtyard giving everyone the chance to browse safely, and, last but not least, their recently refurbished holiday lodges are now available. For booking details visit www.pictoncastle.co.uk/holiday-cottages
The Gardens are looking glorious and families will be delighted to hear that the jungle boardwalk has undergone some much needed repair work and the Picton fairies have been working hard – you can see their freshly painted doors on a brand new trail which offers lots of fun for little ones who have been missing a bit of adventure!
Visitor safety is their number one priority, and everyone can be assured that all the necessary precautions have been put in place in line with Welsh Government guidelines.
Picton Castle & Gardens are open daily from 10am-5pm until 31st October.
