If you love literature, step back in time and come along to a celebration of the written word
Few of us could live without the convenience of our Kindles, iPads and mobile phones, but there’s still something rather special about opening the first page of a printed book.
The first ever Ludlow Fine Book Fair, held at the Racecourse, is a celebration of traditional artisan crafts and will bring together fine letterpress printers, leather bookbinders and book restoration services.
There will also be an opportunity to buy traditional hand-bound books, fine letterpress editions and special titles from book dealers and regional publishers.
And if you have a favourite book that is a little dog-eared, you can arrange a book repair service for your treasured title.
It will also be an opportunity to buy some early Christmas gifts, such as prints of artwork and cards, leather notebooks, handmade stationary and photo albums.
Held in the Clive Pavilion on Ludlow Racecourse, there is free parking on site and a café serving food, cakes, and hot and cold drinks (Saturday 6th November; 10:30am – 5:00pm and Sunday 7th November; 10:30am – 4:00pm).
