Head to Telford this summer for a packed season of live music, comedy and family entertainment
The Place in Telford is a popular Shropshire theatre, hosting a year-round programme of live entertainment from music events, children’s shows, drama and more. For instance, Sixties sensations, The Drifters play here on the 4th June, as well as the 20th October and if comedy is more your thing, hilarious Ed Byrne heads to Telford on the 10th June, while old favourite Roy Chubby Brown graces the stage on the 2nd September. Ticket prices vary from £25 to £30 per person.
There is a free car park close to the theatre and the Oakengates train station is a five to 10 minute walk way so it’s very easy to get to.
There are many events in the Shropshire town throughout the year too, including an Armed Forces Family Day, We Are Telford Carnival and the Balloon Fiesta returns in August, followed in September with the Festival of Imagination. And if outdoor music is your thing, take a look at the weekend of headline music events from 1st to the 3rd July featuring Tears For Fears, Tom Grennan and Bryan Adams.
