Step back in time this Guy Fawkes night at the Ironbridge Gorge’s Victorian fireworks extravaganza
For the first time since 2019, visitors to the Ironbridge Gorge will be in for a fireworks night to remember at Blists Hill Victorian Town on Saturday 5th November, from 6pm-9pm.
As well as having the opportunity to meet some of the town's resident Victorians, visitors can explore the historic town by night before heading to the green for a the fireworks display, which will be set to music.
Why not arrive early and explore the town's foundry, where traditional iron casting will be in action, as well as a chance to spot Blists Hill’s famous steam engine.
There’s plenty up for grabs for keen foodies too with a range of vendors offering a variety of comfort food favourites and for those fancying a tipple, the town's famous pub The New Inn will also be open, offering a full bar service and snacks.
“We’re delighted to be welcoming visitors back to Blists Hill for our popular fireworks event after it was postponed due to the pandemic,” says Abbie King, CEO at the Ironbridge Gorge Museum Trust.
“Visitors will be able to experience the atmosphere of Blists Hill by night, warm up with a drink and a sing-song around the piano at the New Inn and enjoy a stunning professional fireworks display on the green. So why not wrap up warm and join us for a 5th November to remember, remember.”
